CFE Group provides engineering services to the milling and pelleting industries across the UK and Ireland. We are currently seeking to employ an Engineering Manager to join our team. The successful candidate must have a comprehensive mechanical knowledge with 5 to 10 years’ experience in a heavy industrial environment and the relevant management experience required to lead and manage an engineering department. Expertise in general mechanical maintenance and fabrication is essential. The successful applicant will be required to work 40 hours per week and the role will also require flexibility in relation to weekend work, (Saturdays & Sundays).
Working closely with our Operations and Sales teams, the Engineering Manager will be required to lead and manage a team for delivery of a quality service. This includes planning and delivery of service, maintenance and equipment refurbishing schedules, training of Service Engineers and mentoring junior employees, time and performance management, over-seeing and completion of engineering projects and targets, health and safety policy and strong interaction with customers for quick and consistent response to their service requirements.
The successful candidate would need to be commercially focused and have experience working with contract and non-contract customers. They will be capable of having a macro view of the business and will demonstrate a capacity for following through on initiatives to conclusion and for identifying opportunities for added customer value.
This role is ideally suited to a self-motivated, focused individual with strong leadership and problem-solving skills seeking to perform and grow in a management role. Good communication, people management, technical and organizational abilities are essential.
